Junk Removal Across Orlando and Central Florida
Haulers are dispatched throughout Orange County and into Seminole, Osceola and Lake. The towns below have pages of their own because the free pickup rules and the landfill fee change at each county line.
- Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake
- Same estimate everywhere
- Local pickup rules on each page
Four counties, four sets of rules
The metro reads as one place and bills as four. Orange County collects three cubic yards of large items a week in the unincorporated areas and excludes refrigerant appliances; the City of Orlando takes two hand-loadable items free; and the Young Pine Road landfill is the only county site accepting construction debris, at $42.70 a ton. Cross into Seminole, Osceola or Lake and the pickup day, the limits and the landfill all change, which is why Sanford, Kissimmee and Clermont each get their own page rather than a paragraph.
The kind of job changes too. The university side of the metro around Oviedo turns over in May and August. The vacation-rental belt around Kissimmee swaps furniture and spas on a schedule set by booking seasons. The 55-plus communities in Clermont and St. Cloud produce estate cleanouts, since Orange County itself has a low share of residents over 65. Lake Mary and Winter Garden are gated subdivision country, where the county storm truck does not enter and associations arrange their own debris hauling.
Junk removal and furniture removal are the two services most of these towns call for, with storm debris taking over for a month after any named storm.
Towns with their own page
Each page carries that town's own bulk pickup rules, the county site its debris goes to, and the kind of job that town produces most.
