Junk Removal Services in Orlando

Twelve services, by item and by situation, each priced by truck fraction or by the piece and each handled by an insured local hauler after an estimate that costs nothing.

  • One estimate for a mixed load
  • By item or by truck fraction
  • Every route named

How a load is priced, whichever page you came in on

Everything on this list is priced one of two ways: by the piece, or by the fraction of the truck it fills. A mattress, a dryer or a hot tub carries its own figure. A garage, an apartment or an estate is a quarter, a half, three quarters or a full bed, and the fill line is shown to you before loading and after.

Four things move a price and each one is named on the estimate: stairs or a long carry from the back of a property, very heavy material such as concrete, tile and dirt, a refrigerant appliance that needs recovery before scrapping, and a mattress or hot tub that carries a disposal fee of its own. Nothing else should appear at the door.

The estimate is written, it is free, and it is agreed before the truck is booked. The about page covers who attends and what to ask them, and the contact page has the hours and the service area.

The twelve services, and how each is priced

Items are priced on their own; situations are priced by the fraction of the truck they fill, usually across more than one trip.

How much fits in a junk truck

What every service on this list has in common

The estimate, the line-by-line sheet and the disposal route are the same whichever page you came in on.

Every page on this list starts with the same estimate

Whichever service brought you here, the first step is a look at the pile: a phone description, a set of photos with something for scale, or a walk-through on site. What comes out of it is a written figure by truck fraction or by item, a note of anything the hauler cannot take, and a pickup window. One estimate covers a sofa, a dryer and a garage full of boxes together.

A minimum load of roughly 60 cubic feet runs $75 to $125, Fixr

Each piece of a mixed load is priced where you can see it

The furniture, the appliance, the mattress and the bagged leftovers each land on their own line or inside a stated fraction, so the total can be held against the ranges printed on the page that describes them. A bundled number with nothing behind it is what people online warn each other about, and the line-by-line sheet is what makes the comparison possible.

The route matches the item

Refrigerant is recovered before a refrigerator is scrapped, as EPA Section 608 requires; metal goes to a recycler because Florida law keeps white goods out of the landfill; usable furniture goes to a donation drop where it will be accepted; construction debris goes to the one county site that takes it. The hauler names the route at estimate time, and a receipt for the landfill or the donation is available on request where it applies.

Choosing the right service

Which page to read first, going by what you are dealing with.

I have a bit of everything. Which page is that?

The junk removal page, which covers a mixed load priced by truck fraction, with the furniture, appliance and mattress rules folded in. The item pages exist for the calls that are one thing only, and the situation pages for the jobs that fill a truck: a garage, an estate, a turnover, a remodel.

Is it cheaper to rent a dumpster or hire junk removal?

A hauler is usually cheaper when the pile is finished and somebody has to carry it, because a dumpster still needs loading. Fixr puts a week's dumpster rental at $200 to $550, averaging $380 for a 10-yard, against $450 to $650 for a full truckload with the labor included. A dumpster wins when the pile keeps growing for a week or more and the driveway has room for it. The construction debris page carries a side-by-side estimator.

Will the hauler take paint, chemicals or a propane tank?

No, and a hauler who offers to should make you wonder where it is going. Paint (up to 25 gallons a vehicle), pesticides, pool chemicals, propane cylinders, fluorescent tubes and electronics go free to the Orange County household hazardous waste drop-off at the Young Pine Road landfill or the Porter transfer station, Monday to Saturday. The estimate lists anything in the pile that has to take that route.

Do you handle a whole house, or just a few items?

Both. The estate cleanout and hoarding cleanout pages describe whole-house work done in sorted stages over more than one visit, with donation drop-offs for what is still usable. A single sofa or a dryer is a minimum-load call, and for a City of Orlando address the dispatcher will say when the free two-item curbside pickup is the better route.

Not sure which of these you need?

Call and describe the pile. The dispatcher works out which service fits and gets the figure sent in writing.
